4. What age to Start your Child Skiing?

The answer to this question use to be around age 4. In fact, most ski schools usually do not offer on-snow skiing programs for children until age 4 (except perhaps private lessons for age 3). But with KiD-SKi, you can start your kids skiing 2-3 years earlier, even at age 1 -- only a month or two after they learn to walk.

Skiing independence
by age 2 1/2
That's right, age 2-1/2 – if you follow the KID-SKI Learning Progression beginning at age 1. The 2-1/2 year-old age target may vary a few months in either direction depending on when your child's birthday falls relative to winter. For ages 3-4, skiing independence should be a 3-5 day process. For ages 5-6, it should take 2-3 days. Obviously, "skiing independence" is tough to define, but here it means skiing unaided down a beginner slope.
