How KID-SKI Started
The KID-SKI concept began when former U.S. Downhill Champion Steve Lathrop created the KID-SKI Teaching Aids. Next, he introduced the KID-SKI Learning Progression, which was built around the teaching aids. This innovative teaching system is unique because 1) it's the only methodology ever offered for parents to teach their own kids to ski; and 2) with the teaching aids, parents can start teaching their kids to ski as early as age 1-2. Prior to KID-SKI, parents were on their own ... or they put their kids in ski school, but not until about age 4.
1-Stop-Shopping for Parents with Kids, Ages 1 - 6
Recently, Apple Rise has initiated the expansion of the KID-SKI name by offering other skiing products for kids, ages 1-6, under the KID-SKI brand. So, in addition to KID-SKI Teaching Aids, Apple Rise sells, or will sell, KID-SKI plastic skis, KID-SKI clothing and other KID-SKI accessories. We also sell products from other skiing companies.
